That’s why we’ve taken a major step forward in role management. Starting today, “Access levels” is now “Data privacy” and it’s integrated into “Roles and accesses”.

🧩 What’s changed
- “Access levels” is now called “Data privacy”, and you’ll find it right where it makes sense, inside “Roles and accesses”.
- From there, you can manage access to employees’ personal and work data, as well as custom fields, by role, not by individual employee (as before). In short, if you want to define which data someone can view or edit, you’ll first need to assign them a role.
- All roles are included, whether general or specific, so you can configure different levels of access to employee data for each one.

👷 What hasn’t changed
To make the transition from “Access levels” to “Data privacy” as smooth as possible, we’ve migrated your information based on your existing configurations:
- If you didn’t have any access level set up.
- If you previously had one access level for the entire company, or different levels set per employee
