This is not just an update or redesign; it marks the beginning of a journey where you can choose your own adventure and decide how far you want to go with role management.

Everything in a single place: “Roles and accesses”
We’ve completely redesigned the Roles section so that you can manage everything from a single place, with a clear and organized view of the information. From now on, there will no longer be a distinction between “Roles” and “Custom roles”; everything will be in one place: “Roles and accesses”.
To access it, simply follow this route: Configuration >> Company >> Roles and accesses.
Here, you will find three key sections:
- Basic information: name, type, and role description.
- Access level: a comprehensive list of accesses assigned to a role, categorized by tool and section, with specified actions (editing, reading, or both) for each.
- Holders and Managed: the Holders of each role and the areas they manage (people, workplaces, departments, or even the entire company).
Say goodbye to “Higher” and “Lower” roles!
We have renamed the “Higher” and “Lower” roles to “General” and “Specific” roles, respectively. This change better reflects the nature of Sesame’s roles and prepares us for a future that allows fully customized roles.
A new way of assigning roles!
We have revamped the role assignment process to make it more intuitive and efficient. In addition, we have introduced two key concepts: Holders (those with an assigned role) and Managed (those over whom the holder has influence or control).

This update is the first step toward the future, as we want you to:
- Create and configure fully customized roles by combining over 175 specific accesses in any way you choose.
- Have full control to design and assign accesses with pinpoint precision to every team member.
- Monitor and log all modifications to roles and access, including who made the changes and when, to ensure greater data traceability and security.
- Enjoy a unique role management system with a level of flexibility and personalization never seen before in the market.
