In Sesame, we believe that talent knows no limits. For this reason, we have taken a step forward to optimize and make the management of employees’ ID types more flexible.
Until now, the “ID type” field in employees’ profiles offered only a few options, forcing many users to select “Other”. As a result, this field became filled with varied and often imprecise responses. Additionally, there was no validation system for the data entered, leading to errors when this information was transferred to other sections of the tool.
But those days are behind us! Below, we’ll walk you through the details of this update that allows Sesame to adapt to your needs, rather than you having to adapt to it.
Here are the main changes to the employee’s profile:
- ID types for everyone. We’ve added new options to the “ID type” field to include specific references from different countries. Now, you’ll find options like DNI (ID), Identity card, CURP, Citizenship card, RG, CPF, NIF, Codice Fiscale, and many more!
- Find what you need in the blink of an eye. We’ve added a search tool to the “ID type” drop-down menu, allowing you to locate the type you’re looking for in seconds.
- Always reliable data. We’ve implemented a validation system to ensure that the data entered is accurate and to prevent errors when this information is transferred to other sections, like Payroll or Reports. What does it validate? Both the format and the validity of the number entered.
- Double the identification, double the information. We’ve added a secondary ID field, perfect for including additional details, like the passport number. This field is for informational purposes only, and is not shared outside Sesame.
- “Other” that suits your needs. Need to enter an ID type that is not on the list? No worries! You can customize the “Other” field name to better suit your company’s specific needs. Just keep in mind that this field will be unique and shared across the entire company.
