Today’s the day! As we mentioned in our previous email, Sesame has a brand-new menu, and it’s officially here. That means the old menu is no longer available. We hope you had a chance to say your goodbyes, because the new menu is here to stay, and it’s now the default for everyone.
Why are we saying goodbye to the old menu?
Sesame has grown a lot recently, and that’s awesome! To keep up with this growth, we’ve introduced a brand-new menu: more intuitive, more organized, and easier to use. It’s designed to help you find everything you need, faster.
What’s new with this update?
Organization into 3 sections
The brand-new menu is now divided into three main sections:
- Favorites: Quickly access the Admin tools you’ve marked as favorites.
- Employee: Everything you need as an employee, like My clock ins/outs, My documents, My timetables, and more.
- Administrator: The tools to manage your team’s day-to-day are now neatly organized by category: Time management, Talent, Communication, and others, just like in the Marketplace.
Unified access
From now on, you won’t need to switch between the Admin and Employee views to access your tools. Just use the menu on the left, everything is in one place, organized by role, so you can easily find what you need.
For instance, if you want to access Evaluations as an Admin, follow this route: Administrator >> Talent >> Evaluations.
With unified access, we’ve removed the option to switch between Admin and Employee views from the top-right menu (the one that appeared when clicking on your name), since it’s no longer needed.
However, if you have the “Show employee portal” option enabled (Configuration >> Automations >> Section visibility), you can still switch between the Admin and Employee dashboards by clicking the blue card at the top left, right next to the side menu.
Favorites always handy
One of the most exciting features in this update (and probably the one you’ll love the most!) is the ability to mark your most-used tools with a star. They’ll appear in the “Favorites” section, so they’re always just a click away.
We know you loved the old menu, but the new one will blow your mind! It’s easier to use and will save you tons of time. Come and explore the new navigation!
